About The Class Action Lawsuit Against Chase

A Class Action complaint was filed against J.P. Morgan Chase Bank and Real Time Resolutions on July 27, 2015 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California alleging the defendants attempted to illegally collect on previously released loans. The complaint states that Chase released security interests in the Plaintiff’s residential and refinancing loans. By releasing its security interest, the defendant has no legal right enforcing the loans or collecting on them. However, the complaint alleges Chase, with the help of the collection agency Real Time Resolutions, attempted to collect on the loans by purposely misrepresenting the status of the loans and the plaintiff’s obligations under the loans. Plaintiff states Chase began debt collection procedures to try and pressure her to pay on loans that Chase no longer owned or had a right to enforce.
